John Oates

Legendary musical artist John Oates delivers a distinctive rock/soul performance that showcases his passion for song writing and direct and intimate vocal style. Having spent most of his life as half of the Hall & Oates duo – the most popular pop/rock duo in history – John journeys from his home in Colorado back to his hometown to deliver an enchanting evening of entertainment.

The "Meet & Greet" will immediately follow the conclusion of the Concert.

Songwriting Workshop
Saturday October 24, 2:00-3:00 PM at the Center.

As a big supporter of music education, John Oates will talk "songwriting" with interested students at the Center. This event is free, but a seat reservation is necessary. After the workshop students can stay for the sound check for John Oates' evening performance. Students can thus observe the practical part of the world John lives in.

Tales from the Bayou will tickle your funny bone and raise the hairs on your arms for Halloween family fun.  Two vignettes, told with shadow, glove, and rod puppets by the Renaissance Artist Puppet Company, are based on Bayou folklore: you'll never guess what Mama is cookin' up in her kitchen, and Taley Poe is very determined to get back what is his.

True stories from the book written by Tom Allebach, Executive Director of Manna on Main Street, and Victoria Solomon, North Penn High School senior, reveal the invisible lives, hopes and triumphs of people who come to Manna soup kitchen for help. This evening is also a fundraiser for Manna, and the Center’s art gallery will feature art work by area school students, inspired by this book.

For your added enjoyment, we present all of our films and book presentations with an intermission, giving you a chance to make it a real night out! You'll have an opportunity to exchange thoughts about the presentation with others while enjoying refreshments and snacks in our Art Gallery.
